  • Name Kathy Love Attorney

Kathy Love began her career as an attorney with the New Mexico Public Defender Department in Albuquerque. Over the course of four years in this position she excelled in managing a variety of misdemeanor and felony cases, highlighted by an extended, high-profile trial that was eventually moved out of southern New Mexico due to media saturation. For more than 15 years, Kathy Love, a graduate of Chicago’s DePaul University College of Law, has worked in Albuquerque as a partner at McGinn, Carpenter, Montoya and Love, PA. Her current practice focuses on complex civil litigation, most recently including a 34 plaintiff case against the manufacturer of pacemakers and defibrillators and a doctor and hospitals who engaged in a profit-driven conspiracy to implant those heart devices into people who did not need them.

In addition to her legal work, Kathleen Love operates as president of the board of directors of Power PAC, a group dedicated to supporting candidates running for public office on pro-women agendas. She previously served as president of NARAL Pro Choice America.
